SEAM WALLET

A wallet for what you earn.

Money that arrives somewhere useful — for people banks keep turning down. Receive it, hold it, send it, and carry the proof that you did.

Hold
Keep a dollar balance, with cash in and out at participating local agents.
Send
Send money home with the amount, the fee and what actually arrives shown whole before you confirm.
Prove
Payment and identity records you control — show one fact without revealing the rest.
Ask
Help that can explain, check, prepare and escalate — in your language, at any hour.
The demo wallet's Money screen: $1,284.00 available, $120.00 arriving tomorrow, Receive and Send, and the week's activity.

SENDING MONEY HOME

The whole number, before you send.

Most transfers quote a fee and hide the exchange rate. SEAM's target is one flat fee and the amount that lands on the other end, shown together on the screen where you approve it.

SENDING $200 TO TEGUCIGALPA
You send$200.00
SEAM fee — flat, published$1.99
US remittance tax — funded from balance$0.00
Rate · 1 USD24.60 HNL

Sample numbers from the demo, at a target fee — not a live quote, and nothing is live yet. The rate shown is the rate used: SEAM's design goal is no spread hidden inside it.

A typical transfer

  • A percentage fee that grows with the amount
  • A rate quietly marked up
  • Several hands in between
  • No record either side keeps

SEAM

  • One flat published fee
  • The rate shown whole
  • What they receive, before you confirm
  • A receipt both sides keep
Pilot note — the 1% remittance tax, and one open question

The 1% US tax follows how a transfer is funded, not who sends it. Transfers funded from your SEAM balance or another qualifying digital method are not subject to it. Topping up with physical cash at an agent is a separate question — we are working it through with counsel and will publish the answer before agents go live, not after.

The fee above is a target for the pilot corridor, not a live price. Agents, stablecoin rails and direct deposit follow the first corridor.

YOUR RECORDS

Carry the proof you already have.

Work, a phone, a room, an account — every one is becoming a door that opens on proof. SEAM holds the credentials others issued you and shows only the one that was asked for.

SEAM does

  • Show one field without revealing the rest
  • Name who issued each credential, and when
  • Export everything, any time
  • Keep your identity file behind a passcode you type

SEAM does not

  • Issue identity, or decide who you are
  • Replace a passport, government ID, or any official document
  • Receive any biometric data — it never leaves your device
  • Put anything personal on a public network

Your face opens the wallet. It never opens your identity file. A phone held up to your face is not an open file — that takes a passcode you type.

The honest limit of a lock

A lock keeps out someone who does not know your passcode. It does not keep out someone standing over you who can make you type it. No app can fix that, and any app that says it can is selling you something.

SEAM is a hub, not an issuer. Every credential in your file was issued and verified by the organisation named on it. Whether it is accepted is always up to the recipient — no landlord, employer or agency is obliged to take one.

The demo wallet's Identity screen: three verified sample credentials — an identity credential, a family relationship and an employment record — each naming who issued it, above a financial record of income received and rent paid on time.

AI + HUMAN HELP

Help that can actually help.

Money is complicated, and the moments it goes wrong don't wait for business hours. The assistant can explain, check, prepare and escalate — chat is just the fallback underneath.

Explain

Understand a bill, a letter or a transaction — as a structured answer, not a paragraph.

Check

Scan a message or payment request for the signs of a known scam pattern.

Prepare

Set up a payment for you to review. It can never send — money moves only after you approve.

Connect

Bring in a person when AI isn't enough — in your language.

AI can be wrong, and it can never approve a payment for you. The same line sits on the screen itself, with the full honest version one tap behind it.

The honest version — what it does and never does

It always tells you it is an AI, says when it is unsure, and says when a question needs a person. It watches for scams and account takeover before a transfer leaves and after it lands, and it can pause a payment or ask you to confirm on another device.

It never approves a payment — it can only pause one. It is not trained on your conversations or your money, your data is not sold, and it never claims to be human.

It is in beta and not live yet: it will miss things and flag things that were fine. Treat it as a second pair of eyes, not a guarantee. For anything about immigration status, a court date, a medical bill or a locked account, ask for a person as well.

The demo wallet's Help screen: what the AI can do — check a scam, explain a letter, set up a send, answer a money question — and cards read from the wallet's own ledger.

WHEN IT RUNS SHORT

The Fund sits behind the balance.

When something can't wait, SEAM is designing a community-backed Fund — up to $500 per family, no interest and no fees, refilled by the people it helps when they are able.
